McNeil Design Group Interiors ‘Kitchen Modernization’ has completed a gorgeous new Open Concept Kitchen and Dining Room renovation created from an original 1980’s home of small segmented spaces. Collaborating with our wonderful Client to bring this dream renovation to reality was a great pleasure. The new space was modernized with a Transitional focus. Clean, airy, quality finishes, top notch stainless appliances, custom cabinetry in a painted grey and white, greyed hardwood throughout, sculptural pendant lighting and stunning Quartz countertops that mimic specialty stone without the fussy maintenance. The specified specialty downdraft ventilation made for a pristine oversized Island and created an open sight line. Photography courtesy of Nicole Aubrey Photography
McNeil Design Group Interiors ‘Fun & Fabulous Master Bedroom Suite’.
This Master Bedroom retreat was designed and created for a fun, hip Young Couple who live a full and modern lifestyle. This incredibly spacious bedroom was an absolute blank slate that needed alterations to the enclosed main bedroom, ensuite bath and walk-in closet to fully create the high functioning spaces the Clients desired. The bedroom, ensuite bath and storage needed to embody the zest of the Clients, give specific purpose to the zones and ultimately bring all the aspects together to create their dream Master Bedroom retreat! Two distinctive individuals with eclectic tastes and passions for fashion, technology, art and nature.
The walk-in closet was reconfigured spatially to designate more open area to this important zone. With this new configuration a huge custom closet was created for the Lady of the House. A custom ‘Gentleman’s Armoire’ was designed and installed within the space of the Master Bedroom. Tons of customized drawers, hanging spaces, pull outs to accommodate a lifetime of fashion choices.
Modern tones of grey, bold dark stained woods, fun lively patterns and textural elements. The furnishings and accessories were curated to the Clients passions and created a visually interesting transitional environment.
McNeil Design Group Interiors ‘Contemporizing a Small Bungalow’ Bringing modern style and attributes to this small 2 bedroom compartmentalized Bungalow was quite a challenge. But through excellent planning, 3D renderings and skilled Trades the task was accomplished. The now open concept Kitchen, dining and lounge are a nice modern update. The full space is an amazing transformation! The addition of floor to ceiling white Shaker styled contemporary cabinetry doubled the storage for this Client. The clean palette of white lightens and brightens the small space, while the linear stone back splash and hits of warm greige modernize and connect to the traditional attributes of this 1950’s bungalow. The original plaster mouldings were saved and enhanced and the spacious solid surface peninsula added an entertaining space the Client had never experienced before. New hardwood flooring flowed through the sitting room, dining room and open concept kitchen unifying the renovation.
