McNeil Design Group Interiors ‘Dazzling Master Suite Walk-in Closet Expansion’. To transform the original 4.5 Ft wide one-sided closet into a spacious Master Walk-in Closet, the adjoining rooms were assessed and a plan set in place to give space to the new Master Closet without detriment to the adjoining rooms. Opening out the space allowed for custom closed cabinetry and custom open organizers to flank walls and maximize the storage opportunities. The lighting was immensely upgraded with LED recessed and a stunning centre fixture, all on separate controllable dimmers. A glamorous palette of chocolates, plum, gray and twinkling chrome set the tone of this elegant Master Closet. Photography courtesy of Nicole Aubrey Photography.
McNeil Design Group Interiors ‘Custom Den and Cabinetry’
This project saw a tight dining room converted into a cozy, high functioning, customized working Den. The contrast of the surfaces was minimized by collaborating the wood tones of the flooring and cabinetry, while allowing the custom desk to play centre stay in it’s warm wood tone. The cabinetry was tailored to house the Clients collection of character pieces, books, office necessities (printer, media storage, filing drawers etc) and Sci-Fi collectables.
The furnishings were selected with the possibility of utilizing the space in a multifunctional. There are alternative space plans for the room where the desk slides to the window becoming a bar and two more chairs (in a tailored stripe) join to create a centre chair grouping of four for entertaining.
Lots of function in a moderately sized space.
McNeil Design Group Interiors ‘Contemporizing a Small Bungalow’ Bringing modern style and attributes to this small 2 bedroom compartmentalized Bungalow was quite a challenge. But through excellent planning, 3D renderings and skilled Trades the task was accomplished. The now open concept Kitchen, dining and lounge are a nice modern update. The full space is an amazing transformation! The addition of floor to ceiling white Shaker styled contemporary cabinetry doubled the storage for this Client. The clean palette of white lightens and brightens the small space, while the linear stone back splash and hits of warm greige modernize and connect to the traditional attributes of this 1950’s bungalow. The original plaster mouldings were saved and enhanced and the spacious solid surface peninsula added an entertaining space the Client had never experienced before. New hardwood flooring flowed through the sitting room, dining room and open concept kitchen unifying the renovation.
