McNeil Design Group Interiors ‘Kitchen Modernization’ has completed a gorgeous new Open Concept Kitchen and Dining Room renovation created from an original 1980’s home of small segmented spaces. Collaborating with our wonderful Client to bring this dream renovation to reality was a great pleasure. The new space was modernized with a Transitional focus. Clean, airy, quality finishes, top notch stainless appliances, custom cabinetry in a painted grey and white, greyed hardwood throughout, sculptural pendant lighting and stunning Quartz countertops that mimic specialty stone without the fussy maintenance. The specified specialty downdraft ventilation made for a pristine oversized Island and created an open sight line. Photography courtesy of Nicole Aubrey Photography
Contemporizing a Small Bungalow Kitchen
McNeil Design Group Interiors ‘Contemporizing a Small Bungalow’ Bringing modern style and attributes to this small 2 bedroom compartmentalized Bungalow was quite a challenge. But through excellent planning, 3D renderings and skilled Trades the task was accomplished. The now open concept Kitchen, dining and lounge are a nice modern update. The full space is an amazing transformation! The addition of floor to ceiling white Shaker styled contemporary cabinetry doubled the storage for this Client. The clean palette of white lightens and brightens the small space, while the linear stone back splash and hits of warm greige modernize and connect to the traditional attributes of this 1950’s bungalow. The original plaster mouldings were saved and enhanced and the spacious solid surface peninsula added an entertaining space the Client had never experienced before. New hardwood flooring flowed through the sitting room, dining room and open concept kitchen unifying the renovation.
